Operational Buyer, Vehicle motion and Climate
At Procurement, you are part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Procurement team Vehicle motion and Climate is responsible for direct material to Volvo Cars Plants. We purchase material to new projects and running production for all Volvo Car Corporations manufacturing plants. Vehicle motion and Climate procurement team is working with some of the systems that makes a difference in a Volvo.

This fantastic team of 11 buyers is looking for a new buyer of climate systems. We strive for a positive attitude and having fun every day. We are working in the areas Climate and Body Control. The team includes both category buyers as well as operational buyers. We have a highly open and energetic work environment where we continuously strive for improvement and welcome all kind of new and creative ideas.
As Operational Buyer you are responsible for the daily business with our suppliers and cross functional teams such as R&D, Supplier quality, logistics and capacity management. We expect you to be the expert of you own business areas, where you will handle capacity, design changes and lead constraint issues. You will also contribute to the yearly negotiations and setting long-term purchasing strategies.
What you'll do
You will work with Order Management, sourcings, design changes in projects, risk management, commercial price reductions and a lot more. Each day will bring new challenges to the table.
You have ongoing care of vendor issues and capacity management and you will be a part of a global team with weekly meetings aligning the global setup for your area.

You will also broaden you network of business contacts within purchasing - national as well as global! Do you fit the profile?
You have a commercial or technical degree or equivalent and min. 2 years ' relevant experience.
You possess excellent negotiation skills and have strong analytical and problem solving skills. You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and have great MS Office skills.

You are a positive and flexible person who finds solutions moving forward, even when not all the facts are available.
You have the ability to independently drive and perform tasks in a structured way.
You enjoy working in a team and contribute to the positive development in it.
