The Nordic Marketing Company (Nordic) employs around 400 people across 5 countries and has offices located in Södertälje, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Oslo. By 2025 AstraZeneca Nordic aims to become a recognized leader in its core therapy areas and improve the lives of millions of people. This will be achieved by driving innovative science, delivering key launches, building close collaboration and partnerships with stakeholders in health care systems, and developing high-performing teams.
Due to our strong pipeline progress, we are recruiting a second Oncology Market Access Head to support the expanding portfolio and deliver key launches. The role will drive insight-based Nordic payer strategies for AstraZeneca 's brands, leveraging innovative value strategies, to secure patients' access to our medicines as swiftly as possible.
The locations of this position can be either Sweden, Denmark, Norway, or Finland.
The role
As Oncology Market Access Head for the Nordics you are a key leader in the Oncology Business Unit, one of AstraZeneca's key growth platforms, and report to the Vice-President Oncology.
You will input on the overall Oncology strategy in the Nordics by acting as a key member in the Oncology Leadership Team. Close partnerships with the Oncology franchise teams and all key functions are essential to achieve value.
AstraZeneca has a strong culture of good payer and stakeholder relations. Your responsibility is to prepare for the best possible access for brands on market and launch brands to ensure patients get the opportunity to benefit from our medicines within all approved therapeutic indications in your scope.
What you will do
Treatment and payer landscapes in Oncology are evolving rapidly. Your exploratory mindset with a deep understanding of customers and an interest in pioneering is the key to broadening our business specifically in terms of building innovative value strategies for our medicines. The overall ambition is to contribute to shaping an Oncology and payer landscape where we quickly are able to secure that the right patients get access to our current and medicine to be launched.
You are accountable for the Nordic pricing and market access strategy for 2-3 of our multi-indication brands and for driving Nordic reimbursement/funding preparations. In order to accomplish our goals, you will work closely with global teams to understand and influence strategies for key brands. You also partner with the respective Market Access Director in the Nordic countries & Nordic Franchise Teams.
It lies within your role to coordinate national competitive intelligence ranging from pricing and payer strategies to healthcare trends. You must also be familiar with evidence generation and value assessment for Oncology medicines, and be ready to find new and surprising solutions together with various stakeholders.
In order to succeed, you have:
We are looking for a person with significant experience in Market Access gained within the pharmaceutical industry in the Nordics. As important are your documented networking and collaboration skills gained from working effectively in a cross-functional, matrix environment, including with global and regional stakeholders.
You have a proven understanding in science, real world data, and the value of innovative medicines.
Essential requirements are:

Pricing & market access/reimbursement experience in oncology & with launch products

Proven ability interacting with and influencing regional and global internal stakeholders.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills
*
Proactive and insistent in achieving results, can resolve and overcome challenges
*
Understanding of Health Economics and strong analytical skills
*
Has a good understanding of the ethical code and compliance requirements of the pharma industry
You must have excellent communication and presentation skills, proficient in both written and spoken English.
Desirable requirements:

Experience from sales/marketing work within pharmaceutical or similar industry

Understanding of and interest in digital transformation
