The section Powertrain OBD & Dependability, within Complete Powertrain, has the mission to ensure that the development of the next generation engines reflects our brand essence of 'Designed Around You' and that all legal and costumer attributes regarding OBD and Powertrain dependability is met. Currently the section includes approximately 100 employees, organised in six groups. Our group consists of 14 dedicated engineers and is mainly working with OBD and emission pre-homologation for all markets and in all projects. We also have a close cooperation with the China organisation. The group also consists of Attribute Leaders for emissions and OBD. Now we need to strengthen our workforce with another OBD Pre-Homologation Engineer.
As an OBD Pre-Homologation Engineer you will perform OBD verification before homologation. The area of responsibility is to perform measurements in vehicle and rig, analyse, summarise and draw conclusions of the results. You will also perform legal verification of OBD functions in vehicle after start of production. In the assignment you will also summarise certification documentation. You will work in an ambitious team and have a close cooperation with project managers, attribute leaders, workshop staff, laboratories and the homologation department.
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for OBD Pre-Homologation world-wide in all projects
• Legal testing after production start
• Compiling certification documentation
Required qualifications
• B.Sc in Engineering or equivalent documented experience, M.Sc is meritorious
• Knowledge in electrical devices and Excel
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Driver's license B
• Experience with function development, calibration and testing of diagnostic systems is meritorious
• Knowledge in testing prerequisites for emission and OBD worldwide is meritorious
• Experience in INCA PC, Matlab, Simulink, Python, Canalyzer and LIN-spector is meritorious
