Operating within this division, the Nordic Medical Devices Sales Manager will lead the sales effort for the DNV product suit in Medical Devices (certification in relation to MDR, MDSAP, ISO13485 and IVDD/IVDR) and build close relationships with manufacturers across the region.
You will be responsible for driving growth and shaping the DNV proposition as part of both the Product Assurance vertical across the Nordics and the Medical Devices business, led in the Nordics by our team in the Danish Medical Device Hub. You will report to the Nordic Product Assurance Sales Lead and have a close relationship with the Technical Sales and planning team as well as the Operations Manager in the Medical Hub.
You will use your entrepreneurial flair and commercial acumen to lead our go-to-market efforts to build relationships with existing manufacturers, whilst also designing a strategy to develop new sales and relationships among the leading Medical Device Manufacturers across the Nordics. The role will require the successful candidate to utilise their sales and operational experience to build the Nordic pipeline against key metrics, contributing to target setting and driving sales to achieve the growth expectations across the region.
Key Accountabilities:
Providing market access via our accredited services in relation to predominantly MDR, MDSAP, ISO13485 and IVDD/IVDR, you will be expected to lead the growth of our sales efforts with manufacturers across the Nordics and will be an integral part of the European Product Assurance Sales Network, contributing with your speciality in Medical Devices.
You will also cover the following activities:
Segment the market for our Medical Devices certification services in the Nordics
Build relationships with customers across their organizations and act as KAM for selected customers
Proactively seek to identify customer needs and develop solutions to new and existing clients
Define and execute segment specific sales approaches
Sell and make recommendations to prospects and clients on the various solutions the company offers to solve their business issues.
Generate proposals in compliance with Notified /Accreditation Body requirements and/or product sector requirements
Collaborate with sales colleagues on Medical Devices across Europe
Collaborate closely with technical sales and operations on individual client deliveries, participating in meetings with the client, technical and operations teams
Directing deliveries, ensuring we execute to meet or exceed clients' expectations, on time, on budget and to DNV quality standards.
Leading and communicating effectively with your clients and colleagues.
Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up
Contribute to, develop and maintain a network of Channels (consultants, advisory companies, free-lance auditors, partners, associations, ...) with the aim of nurturing the lead generation activities.
Take part in local communication actions (external events, tradeshows, conferences, workshops, etc.) organized by you and the Marcom Department
Position Qualifications
Degree in Marketing, Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline
Demonstrated experience and achievements in dedicated B2B sales roles and proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
3+ years of experience from wider Product Assurance industry desirable
Ability to operate in a growth environment, dealing with ambiguity and orchestrating teams in multiple locations
Social Media selling exposure
Results oriented. Have a strong sense of urgency and "can do" attitude
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, and potentially fluent in a Nordic language
The following qualifications would be desirable but are not a must have for you to be successful
Updated on the trends and developments in the Medical Device sector
Experienced with ISO13485, MDSAP, MDD, MDR and IVDR certifications is a "plus"
Medical Device Certification Business experience
Recognized within the Medical Devices industry as a contributor and networker
