"HAPPINESS IS BEING ON THE WAY" Ingvar Kamprad
As part of our retail journey, we are stepping into expanding IKEA in the Life at Home arena. We are doing this by developing a world-class commercial digital platform, offering curated life-at-home services through partners that are designed, developed, and deployed to sell more of IKEA.
The idea of creating a platform where we connect customers that have a need, with partners and other customers that have an offer, is nothing new to IKEA. Ingvar started the shopping center business decades ago. Since then, we have been setting the stage by creating vibrant spaces that attract both shoppers and sellers. And of course, to attract more visitors to our connected IKEA stores.
Our new business platform is very similar, it's designed to attract and engage more customers by connecting them with valuable life-at-home offers from our partners or other customers with the ambition to sell more of IKEA. We are moving from traditional referral models to true partnerships, where we as platform orchestrators create a vibrant space with a great customer experience and communities through shared customer journeys and shared data - a win for IKEA, our trusted partners, and most importantly, our customers.
