Challengermode is a quickly growing company of 50+ motivated engineers, business folks, marketers and gamers on a mission to make esports truly accessible for everyone. The company was founded in 2014 and we offer a platform that provides the fundamental online esports infrastructure to all the key stakeholders in the esports industry including players, organizers, and game developers. It's becoming the place for regular gamers to congregate, practice, or compete in esports. Our best-in-class tech automates complex competition infrastructure through game integrations and allows gamers to easily play in competitions on any device or console while enabling community building and monetization at scale for organizers of all kinds.
Today we have team members all over the world, yet most of us operate out of our HQ on Södermalm in Stockholm. And while we have a flexible work environment and some of us work remotely from time to time, the office is our default meeting place. It's where we do important and deep work, collaborate, discuss and learn. It's also where we have fun, hang out and enjoy each other's company as coworkers and friends.
The role
As our mood and office manager, your main responsibility is to take ownership of the office and our shared work environment (both offline and online). You will be an internal engine of productivity, focus, and positivity for the company. And you will make sure that everyone has the tools and resources they need in the office to be productive and happy employees.
The role requires you to be both reliable and structured in your work, yet flexible in your approach - loose around the edges, rigid at the center. Keeping the office neat and tidy is not an end in and of itself, but rather a means to greater well-being and productivity for the team itself. Although the job involves managing the office space, the job is really about people first and foremost.
What you'll do
• Ensure the office space is open, available, and neat during our regular office hours.
• Be the first point of contact for any office-related matters, such as facilities maintenance, ventilation, lighting, network connectivity etc, working with the facility owners or relevant team members.
• Greet and welcome visitors that come by the office.
• Own certain operational processes and office-related activities, such as running team all-hands meetings, team events, and planning parties.
• Help out in planning and coordinating company events such as trips, conferences, and more (but also participate in the fun stuff).
• Make sure our shared office space is both functional and comfy; every now and then you might have to change a light bulb or two and tend to our plants and flowers.
• Ensure everyone has the tools required to be productive, happy, and comfortable; a well-stocked fridge, drinks, computers, electricity, whiteboards, etc.
• As needed, assist the CFO or management with employee expenses, time reporting, and other lighter accounting or administrative tasks.
Who you are
If you love working with smart, ambitious, and dedicated people, thrive in a collaborative team environment, and are obsessed with ensuring the success of your team and its members - this role is for you. You should be/have:
• Extremely organized and structured in your approach to everything.
• Very service-oriented - putting people first.
• Good at anticipating common issues and problems beforehand and can deal with them or escalate/delegate as needed.
• Authoritative personality, but also attentive and empathic.
• Is not scared of dealing with interpersonal conflicts and "telling it like it is".
• Is extraverted and pleasant and has great "bedside manners" with customers, investors, press, recruits, etc.
• You don't mind doing "grunt work", but can also step up and handle more complex tasks and projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Prioritize and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
• Superb writing and verbal skills in English and Swedish, any additional language skills are very welcome too, of course.
• Strong knowledge of typical office and productivity software such as PowerPoint and spreadsheets.
• Last but not least: you enjoy social events and parties; not just planning our after works but also hanging out together with us.

Everyone on the team is equally adept at working in a team setting as they are working individually.
