About the job
In this position, you participate in new and further development of specially adapted machine and automation equipment - being involved in the entire development chain from idea to ordered equipment at our customers. We run all development as cross-functional projects with agile principles in close cooperation with our customers. As part of the development team, you work together with automation and system developers, purchasing/preparation and assembly/workshop to find solutions and create unique production equipment for Sandvik Machining Solutions.
Within the department for machine design, the tasks are varied and cover most areas of competence within the field of mechanical engineering. Your role is focused on development and mechanical design, and in the long term there are good opportunities to develop into a project manager, technical product development or to deepen your knowledge in one of our areas of expertise.
The location for this position is in Sandviken.
About you
We're looking for someone with a university degree in mechanical engineering - preferably with a focus on product development and mechanical design. Alternatively, you have documented experience in the profession in other ways. You have a great interest in technology and enjoy working both independently and in a team to achieve set goals. As we're a truly global player working on the local market, you need excellent skills in both English and Swedish, verbally and in writing.
