Driveline Systems at Volvo CE is the core center within Volvo CE for Driveline development and are responsible for developing transmissions, brakes and wheel axles for Volvo CE.
We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen our Mechanical Design Department, both experienced engineers and graduates with no or limited experience will be considered for this position.
You will be working in a highly focused and motivated team, working with mechanical design and product maintenance within driveline components.
Your responsibilities as a design engineer will be to develop 3D-modells and production drawings in close cooperation with production, purchasing and sub suppliers. You will also be responsible to assure that our quality targets both functional and robustness & reliability are met in cooperation with the Verification & Validation department.
Qualifications:
• M.Sc or B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in Mechanical Design work (CAD and PDM) is positive
• Experience of 3D CAD design and development in Catia v5 and Solid Edge is positive
Personal Qualifications:
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Target and result oriented
• Ability to work and perform in cross-functional project teams, both inside and outside the company
• Self going and be able to take initiative
• Good command of Swedish and English, both written and spoken
• Interest in machines and especially drivelines are positive
