As the company is growing, we are now looking for a mechanical design engineer to join our product development team. You will be hired as a consultant by our recruitment- and consultant partner Dfind Science & Engineering, but work on site at Heliospectra headquarter HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Job Description
Heliospectra is looking for a dedicated mechanical design engineer to work with state-of-the-art LED horticulture fixtures and all additional hardware product development and engineering. This person will be part of the fixture development team in Gothenburg.
Area of Responsibility
• Lead hardware design from concept to production including mechanical design, thermal simulations, transfer-to-manufacturing, testing, and documentation
• Develop 2D and 3D models as well as production drawings of hardware products
• Simulate environmental factors such as thermal dissipation models to ensure highest quality product
• Prototype development from initial concept to reality
• Provide input for project schedules. Ensure assigned tasks are completed per project schedule
• Ensure highest quality designs for environmental properties
• Assist with certification and verification processes as the mechanical technical lead
Required qualifications
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years' experience with Mechanical designing or drafting using Solidworks at manufacturing company
• Proficient in thermal analysis and flow simulation
• Interest in design and aesthetics - design thinking is a plus
• Ability to work under tight time restrictions and meet deadlines
• Good written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues across disciplines
• Experience managing vendors locally and abroad
• Able to work independently
• Good interpersonal & organizational skills
• Good written & spoken English communication skills
Location: Gothenburg
Extension: Full-time consultant through Dfind Science and Engineering
