hela Sverige Saab is a fantastic company to grow and develop in! As our colleague moves on within the company, we are looking for a proactive and communicative Material Planner who wants to influence the progress of our submarines and surface vessels at Saab's business area Kockums.
Your role
The Material Planner perform planning and follow-up within subproject purchasing in projects to make sure that material is available in time for production. You coordinate, prioritize and communicate material status to your colleagues in both line and project organization. The work is performed in close collaboration with stakeholders like the purchasing organization and product and design.
The main tasks are:
• Ensure material planning based on current delivery plans and available capacity.
• Monitoring of ERP-system with the aim of ensuring that part lists/ BOM (build of material) is released in time for material to be delivered before production activity starts.
• Analyze availability of materials with the aim of ensure trouble-free production and high delivery precision.
• Regularly update current status of ongoing procurements and ongoing deliveries according to information from procurement organization.
Your profile
We are looking for you with a few years' experience of working with purchasing, project planning and/ or logistics. We are looking for you with a proactive mindset, a structured way of working and the ability to handle a constantly changeable work day with many ongoing tasks at the same time.
To thrive and succeed in this role you need to be committed, have a positive attitude and a strong drive to achieve defined goals. You need a good analytical and problem-solving ability and ability to plan and prioritize you work. Since the role include many stakeholders and collaboration with people both internal and external, you need to enjoy the ongoing dialogue and collaboration and have high social skills.
Required skills:
* University degree in logistics / production / purchasing or equivalent.
* Good knowledge of business systems and Windows Office
* Knowledge in logistics and purchasing processes
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
Desired skills:
* Good knowledge in Aveva ERM
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

In addition to this role, the SCS department also project procurement, warehousing operations, technical purchasing, and Material Control & Logistic Development including Order & Expedite function, which works with delivery monitoring and follow-up of order recognition from our suppliers.
