We are currently hiring a Material Handling Expert to join the Team in Skellefteå. Please be informed that your employment will be with EDAG Engineering Scandinavia AB in Gothenburg. However, this job advertisement is specifically for a consultant project located in Skellefteå. Upon concluding this assignment, your next assignment will be in Gothenburg. The responsibilities for the Material Handling Expert role are outlined below.
Responsibilities:
Electrical Side:
Regular inspections and maintenance of electrical installations and production machines.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
Monitoring the technical condition of devices and installations, reporting repair and modernization needs.
Installation, connection and commissioning of new devices and electrical systems.
Carrying out cabling and low- and high-voltage installations in accordance with applicable standards.
Conducting safety inspections of electrical installations.
Ensuring compliance of activities with occupational health and safety regulations and other legal standards regarding the operation of electrical equipment.
Mechanical Side:
Regular technical inspections of production machines.
Lubrication, cleaning and calibration of equipment.
Drilling, threading, screwing and cutting metals parts.
Replacing worn or damaged parts from the conveyor line.
Quick diagnosis of technical problems.
Repair of machines and devices in the event of failure.
Minimizing production downtime through effective fault removal.
Collaborate with engineers and suppliers when installing new equipment.
Testing and commissioning of newly installed machines.
Modernization and Improvement of Production Processes:
Identification of opportunities to improve production efficiency and quality.
Implementation of new technologies and modernization of existing systems.
Optimization of production machine settings.
Responding to alarm signals and performing diagnostics.
Maintaining technical documentation regarding inspections, repairs and maintenance.
Creating reports on work carried out and spare parts consumption.
Requirements.
BSc or MSc degree in mechanical or relevent field
3+ years of relevant experience within Material Handling, process design and engineering related fields.
Successful track record of leading process improvement projects in a production factory.
Curious, technically educated, and preferably with a strong problem-solving background.
Experience and interest in Material Handling, equipment design, process development and commissioning.
