Investigation, testing, and validation of current fire detection components in gas turbine applications is the subject you will be writing about. You will investigate fire detection products within gas turbine applications and deepen our knowledge of fire detection technologies. Testing of different fire detection technologies will be required, followed by validation according to the current gas turbine application standard.
Expectations for the result of the master's thesis:
Deeper knowledge and a better foundation for the design of the fire detection system. Improvement suggestions for our current products and designs.
Trainee Program:
During the trainee program, you will undergo further training through a combination of theory, practice, and real-world cases. The trainee program provides you with the opportunity to combine education with practical work in various technical areas. You will receive in-depth training in the different systems you will work with, as well as a comprehensive understanding of Siemens Energy's organization, processes, and work methods, etc. You will work with people from all around the world and have the opportunity to develop and deepen your technical interests.
You will become a part of an open and dynamic workplace where professional and personal development are highly prioritized. We offer a flexible workplace with diverse tasks and significant opportunities for personal development for those in the early stages of their careers. As a trainee and part of Siemens Hub, you have the opportunity to work remotely from Norrköping at a local Work Space for a few days a week. When the trainee program is completed, you will continue to work in the regular business as a consultant.
You will receive a customized training program based on your background and experience. You will have a dedicated mentor from the department to help you and provide a good start to your trainee position. You will be employed as a consultant at Skill and receive a monthly salary during both the thesis project and the trainee program. Scheduled start for the Master thesis and Trainee program is in January 2024 and the program will continue for 12 months.
You will work on fire detection systems within gas turbine applications in Siemens Energy's for the department of Development & Standard, Fire & Gas.. You will familiarize yourself with the latest edition of fire detection standards and norms. You will investigate the latest product developments and tests.
Profil• You are currently in the final year of your master's degree program in mechanical engineering, energy, or a related field.
• As an individual, we see you as communicative, structured, and detail-oriented. You are motivated by working on problem-solving, both independently and collaboratively with others.
• We prefer candidates with experience in some form of equipment testing processes.
