hela Sverige We are now recruiting a Market Manager for the Chemical Industry Segment in the Marketing and Technology Department at Naphthenics
This position has the global market responsibility for specialty naphthenic oils sold into the Chemical Industry segment and reports to the Marketing and Technology Director Naphthenics.
The segment includes a wide variety of industries and encompasses oils sold into applications such as Adhesives, Printing Inks, Explosives, Agricultural applications.
Responsibilities
Lead Segment Strategy
• Lead and manage the strategy for the segment - including product portfolio, USPs, pricing strategy, focus applications
• Deliver the 5 year sales and market plan per product and country, with solidly anchored underlying growth drivers
• Outline actions needed to deliver growth and ensure alignment of Regional tactical sales plans with global segment strategy
• Develop a compelling value proposition, with the objective to strengthen Nynas' market leadership and to support Nynas' ambitious growth plans for the segment
Identify and Develop New Growth Platforms
• Identify significant new growth opportunities for process oils
• Develop the roadmap for the product portfolio
• Drive Marketing Best Practices
• Share and drive selected best practices across the Sales organization
• Prioritize Target Areas for improvement
• Lead cross functional Projects
Strengthen Nynas brand
• Organize customer seminars and hold presentations at major international conferences
• In cooperation with the Market Communication department, secure that the market communication strategy clearly conveys Nynas value proposition to the relevant stakeholders
Provide best in class Market Intelligence
• Identify market trends and upcoming events in the market, assess their potential impact on the business, and develop strategies to manage the issues
• Maintain up-to-date information about market share in all geographies
• Maintain up-to-date competitor mapping and assess the potential impact of competitors' strategies and moves
Qualifications and Skills
• MSc in Engineering (Chemical, Plastics, Materials or Mechanical), Chemistry, or Material Science. An MBA is an advantage
• Ability to lead a team of non-direct reports through influence. Must be a credible leader and strong communicator
• Ability to work independently and work under pressure
• Ability to work effectively at a global level in a matrix organization, with the ability to define a target scope, rally mutual support and coordinate execution actions
• Flexible, with the ability to adapt to change for a dynamic, fast paced working environment
• Proven ability to work effectively across technology, marketing, supply and sales to ensure project success
• Track record of obtaining results in a global B2B environment. Knowledge of relevant end use markets is a plus
• Strong problem solving and leadership - able to structure ambiguous problems, develop fact based conclusions, and lead cross functional teams to implement plans that sustainably improve the business
• Demonstrated ability in analyzing industries, identifying opportunities, developing marketing and sales plans
• Ability to work both strategically and tactically, to deliver results and to improve the competitive position of the business
• Ability to integrate market trends/issues into marketing and business strategies
• Ability to link strategies to financial results
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to travel up to 35% of working time internationally
• Excellent multicultural understanding
• Fluent English, additional languages are an advantage
