Work as an integral part of the Marine Hull & Initial Design, Training & Product Support team. The team is responsible for the AVEVA Marine Hull & Initial Design (and other associated products) from Product Development through to Customer deployment and feedback.
The Senior Application Consultant should use their industry experience to ensure that AVEVA Marine Hull & Initial Design (and other associated products) are robust and fit-for-purpose.
Principal Accountabilities
• Responsible for validating the product readiness of AVEVA Marine Hull & Initial Design (and other associated products) via a series of engineering based tests (to be created, maintained and constantly extended) within the Training and Product Support;
• Management of AVEVA Marine Hull & Initial Design (and other associated) Product Support Incidents through the AVEVA Helpdesk System;
• Work with customers and AVEVA Business Units regarding enhancements/new feature requests - help assess need, benefit, cost, etc. Help provide detailed specifications to Product Development when an enhancement/new feature is to be included in the software, validate fit for purpose before customer receipt.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Preferred
• A Naval Architect with experience and knowledge of shipbuilding & design, engineering practices and deliverables
• A minimum of 5 years' experience working within the shipbuilding industry or working knowledge of the AVEVA Marine Hull & Initial Design products (emphasis on Initial Design products)
• An ability to document and communicate in English to a very high standard. Comfortable to deliver presentation material to a variety of audiences
• An ability to take a proactive approach to challenges while meeting a responsibility to deliver
• Willing to travel
• Knowledge of programming, exposure to C# and/or Visual Basic would be an advantage but not essential
