hela Sverige The European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, has two openings for Early Stage Researchers, financed by the EU through the oPAC (optimization of particle accelerators) Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) scheme. So we hereby invites applications for a "Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher".
Description of main responsibilities
The research topics for these positions are "Studies into beam loss patterns at ESS", and "Methods for measuring the beam profile in high intensity beams", respectively.

http://www.liv.ac.uk/opac/projects/ess/ . In addition to pursuing these research topics, the successful candidates will receive training through the oPAC network, and are encouraged to apply their work towards a Doctoral Dissertation.
Qualifications
The positions are open to candidates who are in the first four years of their post graduate research career, and who have not yet received a PhD.
The Marie Curie networks include a mobility rule, which generally means that candidates are expected to move country when taking up an appointment. For more information about the oPAC application eligibility, please go to

These appointments are for a period of three years.
