Manufacturing Process Engineer Come join our team!
We are currently hiring a Manufacturing/ Process Engineer to join the Quality & Manufacturing Team in Gothenburg. Please be informed that your employment will be with EDAG Ab Engineering Scandinavia in Gothenburg. However, this job advertisement is specifically for a consultant project located in Skellefteå, with an expected duration of 6 months until project completion. Upon concluding this assignment, your next assignment will be in Gothenburg. The responsibilities for the Manufacturing/Process Engineer role are outlined below.
The Manufacturing/ process engineer holds a pivotal role, overseeing equipment design from purchase order to commissioning, and serving as a liaison for integrating lessons learned into future designs. They collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver advanced manufacturing equipment designs, manage FAT, lead commissioning, and support product launches. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cell manufacturing equipment launches and future design upgrades. Key attributes for success include collaboration, time management, design and commissioning expertise, organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to take a leadership role in commissioning as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Take charge of commissioning activities on-site and facilitate a smooth transition to manufacturing.
• Spearhead the detailed design process engineering, managing it from purchase order to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for manufacturing equipment.
• Lead design reviews and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) sessions with suppliers, and endorse machine design concepts, technical drawings, and documentation.
• Offer constructive feedback and direction to suppliers to ensure equipment quality, technical compliance, and adherence to CE standards.
• Develop and execute Design of Experiments (DOEs) and coordinate process and equipment trials at both supplier and customer manufacturing sites.
• Play a central role in defining and releasing standards for manufacturing processes.
• Complete HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and risk assessments.
• Mentor and train new process engineers and provide support to other functions.

Requirements:
• BSc or MSc degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant experience within equipment and process design and engineering related fields.
• Knowledge of QA Troubleshooting tools.
• Successful track record of leading process improvement projects in a production factory.
• Experience from building and scaling production in a fast -growing environment ideally in the battery, automotive, food, pharma, paper & pulp, semiconductor, electrochemical or similar industry.
• Curious, technically educated, and preferably with a strong problem-solving background.
• Experience and interest in equipment design, process development and commissioning.
