Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a world-leading supplier of equipment and complete solutions for the mining and construction industries, with machines, hard metal tools, service and technical solutions for the extraction and crushing of rock and minerals.
Within SMC Supply the Technology function is responsible for manufacturing technologies, investment approval and follow-up. We give technical support regarding manufacturing processes, develop global manufacturing standards and give quality assurance of manufacturing processes and products. We are currently in the process of hiring personnel to expand the function. For the right person there will be good possibilities for future career development.
Key performance areas
As Manufacturing Engineer your role will be concentrated on leading and supporting global efficiency projects at SMC Supply level. This includes global responsibility for technology solutions for process development, together with Quality Assurance, and support in relation to start-up or when transferring products within SMC Supply production units.
Your profile
You hold a technical degree from university or similar level of qualifications. We expect that you have extensive experience from manufacturing engineering. It is beneficial if you have experience from NC-programming and knowledge of modern machines and machining. You are result-oriented and open minded, with the ability to motivate people in a global network. To fulfill these challenging tasks, it is essential that you have good communication skills and speak English fluently.
