Manager Settlement Team

Cash Management & Settlement is a part of Group Treasury which is Volvo Car Groups internal bank and responsible for the financial risk management and cash management infrastructure. This includes all activities and risk management for funding, currency, interest rates, commodity price. Group Treasury is also responsible for trade finance and working capital financing solutions. Headquarter is located in Gothenburg with a local treasury centre in China, Shanghai. Cash Management & Settlement has a global responsibility for Cash Management initiatives within the group. The team has two main areas: Cash Management and Settlement (Including forecast).

As Manager for the Settlement Team, you will lead, support and develop the settlement team and all related settlement processes in the most efficient way. Internally you will work closely with the Risk Management team, who handles the daily liquidity. You will also work close together with Treasury accounting and the AP/AR functions. You will have frequent interaction with the Cash Managers to align with the overall Cash Management Strategy and ongoing project. The responsibilities also include involvement in the daily operational work within the Settlement team. Externally you will work towards the banks in our core group.

Main responsibilities

• Coach and lead the settlement team in various subjects concerning various processes, as forecast, payments, reconciliation, Investments/withdrawals, compliance etc.
• Proactively work to develop and improve settlement processes as well as reporting in the most efficient way
• Being a global functional leader for the settlement area towards our subsidiaries and work to align with Volvo Car Groups Payment and Bank Strategy
• Be involved in the daily operation work included in Settlement team as; Daily reconciliation of Treasury bank accounts, Produce and monitor the daily Group cash position, Handle investments/withdrawals from subsidiaries and issue Payments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or equivalent
• Several years of relevant work experience within a Treasury department or from Back office at a bank
• Good knowledge of Finance and Treasury related processes
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Good computer knowledge and proficiency in Excel
• Used to work towards deadlines and deliver under pressure

• Ability to remain professional and deliver under pressure
• Positive mind-set and interest of leading and coaching other people
• Being flexible in doing both daily operational Treasury work as well as managerial tasks
