Position Description
Parts & Service are a function within Quality & Customer Satisfaction (Q&CS) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for the feature Uptime and with the focus to increase profitability for the bus owner/owners. We are today represented in Sweden, Brazil, Mexico, Poland and India.
Parts & Service are now seeking an experienced manager for Service Engineering & Information Management for the Gothenburg site, who has the drive and passion to contribute to Volvo buses profitability and who sees that the key to success is to develop the organization and its people in meeting future challenges.
As manager for SEIM you are responsible to deliver on commitments, setting the global road map and strategy for service methods and aftermarket information. The team is structured in 2 main areas, Service Engineering and Technical Information and is a size of 16 resources with additional work packages. Important challenges for the group is to secure competence development & broadening, strengthen and increase the teamwork within and outside the organization and to improve efficiency by simplifying the way of working together with Group Trucks Technology and internally.
Main activities and responsibilities:
• Deliver start cost, maintenance and advanced engineering projects according to quality, delivery, cost and feature targets for the GOT site.
• Secure common ways of working globally
• Global process owner for SEIM activities.
• Define, agree, communicate and execute strategies and targets for the team
• Prioritize and direction setting for short and long term activities
• Develop the group and the people to support future challenges contributing to Volvo Buses profitability
• Ensuring that laws and labor agreements are fulfilled
• Approve technical documentation for the teams technical area
• Drive and implement Lean@VBC with the focus to create an organization where:

Profile:
• Experience from line management position
• Aftermarket knowledge within the service area
• 5-10 years of experience from aftermarket and/or product development within the automotive industry
• Business oriented with a clear customer focus
• University/Master's degree in engineering or equivalent competence
• Holistic view and ability to work cross functionally and build strong relations
• Drive to improve our way of working, with strong implementation skills
• Ability to recruit and develop effective teams were people take pride in being responsible for their complete deliveries and create a knowledge growing organization
• Focus on development of people, operations and service market products and taking advantage of the full diversity of the team
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Eager to learn and work with your own development
• High integrity, trust and ability to follow trough
• Fluent in English spoken and written
