Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

LOTS is an independent company within the Scania Group, headquarted in Stockholm. We work as both a transport operator and as a professional advisor within the transport and logistics environment. With ongoing operations in Sweden, China and Brazil, LOTS targets companies in the mining, forestry and agriculture sectors to partner with. LOTS encompasses the principles behind Scania's Lean way of working and aims to impact its customers by providing efficient, sustainable and future-oriented transport solutions.

The business development department within LOTS is charged with carrying out two functions: outside sales, and consultation. Through direct customer contact we prospect, meet and communicate the value proposition that LOTS can deliver. Through consultation we identify improvement areas, design management process solutions and support in evaluating the viability of business cases for transport operations. In addition the consulting team delivers more traditional consulting projects both externally and internally within Scania. We are in a growth mode, and are looking to add an analyst to support with the business development functions.

Your tasks

The analyst role is intended to support in the overall business development objectives of growing LOTS market share. Our analyst would work as a part of a team headed by an experienced senior consultant. The analyst's duties generally include planning studies and analyses of the business problems or issues the consultants have been asked to help resolve. They do this by interviewing key stakeholders in the company, gathering and organizing information, analyzing data and preparing reports that summarize findings. The analyst would follow a typical consulting career track under the LOTS business development organization.

As a global organization, there is an expectancy for international travel - up to 40% of working time. We often conduct work at the mine, or in the field and as such expect applicants to be equally comfortable at the client site as they are in a corporate environment. The role will be based out of our Stockholm office.

At LOTS Group, our team members receive a high level of responsibility. They execute our process and methodologies, but also apply their own business knowledge, analytical abilities, leadership, interpersonal skills, and good judgment. It is through their presence, conduct, and achievements that the lasting impression is created that LOTS will do whatever it takes to achieve outstanding and sustainable results.

Your profile

Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast moving environment and enjoys tackling new challenges. LOTS is a relatively new organization and as such operates with a startup mentality. We are both building upon Scania's long history and constructing our own business model to open new doors with existing and future clients. This implies that our team members must be entrepreneurial whilst working in a structured and tactical way.

LOTS currently offers a suite of management consulting services to support our transport operations. As such our ideal candidate would be familiar with project management and working in a team environment. In addition any direct exposure to logistics, supply chain strategy, or performance improvement through use of Lean methodology is a plus. Past experience working with a consulting firm is also highly valued.

The Requirements:

• Undergraduate Degree; Masters Level Degree preferred
• Possess a high proficiency in MS Office Software - most critically Excel, and PowerPoint
• Superior analytical skills, including problem solving, strong instincts and intuition, and high levels of financial understanding
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. You must be as comfortable working at the shop floor level as you are in the corporate board room.
• Highly motivated work style
• Must be available to travel
• Minimum language proficiency requirement: fully fluent in Swedish and English, additional languages considered a plus (especially Portuguese and Spanish)
