Our Swedish Oversea Logistics Advanced Coil team is seeking an operationally dedicated and inspiring Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for follow up, enhancing, and managing the logistics processes and governance of Outokumpu's overseas transport - outbound and inbound, including customs handling, with a particular focus on our Swedish mills in Avesta and Nyby.
Key responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development: Manage and supervise logistics planning, providing consistent leadership to enhance team performance. You will work with a team of three dedicated logistics professionals, since the team is small, you will also take part of the operational work.
Optimal Transportation Systems: Design, implement, and maintain transportation systems considering capacity, cost, frequency, and reliability.
Transport Flow Management: Monitor transport flows, focusing on quality, costs, availability, balanced flow, and modal selection.
Capacity Coordination: Secure and follow up on required transport capacities in cooperation with logistic colleges and our Transport Procurement team.
Customs and Export Management: Ensure secure operations and continuous development in customs and export processes for Sweden, contributing expertise in the customs area.
Who are you?
Experience and background in Transport business and Logistics processes, preferable within heavy industry and especially within oversea logistics and custom area including contact with shipping lines and transport agents.
Education in Supply Chain or Industrial economics, or another relevant field or experience.
Enthusiastic and determined to lead and support others, with some experience in leadership roles or leading projects.
Very good ability to communicate and cooperate with colleagues, teams and stakeholders.
Results focused and service driven professional with hands-on mentality.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Location: Avesta, Sweden (Hybrid). Some travelling to other sites in Sweden as well abroad is also expected.
