Our mission is to manage sourcing, production and supply of additional materials. Our aim is to achieve lowest landed total cost at specified quality for Tetra Pak's global customer base. Additional materials (Closures, Straws and Strips) make together with the packaging material the complete Tetra Pak Package. The new Tetra Pak Closures organisation are today supplying 32 bio caps produced in more than 200 production lines located in 4 Tetra Pak plants and another 14 external plants.
Within the Closures organization, the Logistics Manager will manage Closures logistics and distribution, by optimizing the existing infrastructure to enable the global capacity deployment as well as by driving, implementing and following-up improvement projects In this position you are reporting to the Manager, Integrated Logistics and you will be member of the Supply Chain Team.
The position will be based in Lund or Modena and include 5-10% of travelling time.
Main responsibilities
• Manage the operational logistic framework for Closures, to effectively provide customer service and value
• Plan, drive and control the global flow of Closures raw materials (polymers), equipment and finished products, end to end.
• Convey and drive strategic input to optimizing the allocation among the different sources of supply
• Develop and implement strategies to secure effective capacity deployment and improve customer service, via logistic enhancement.
• Actively plan for the development of new off-shore deployment of production capacity, securing and drive freight, customs and logistics optimization.
• Perform detailed custom duties analyses, driving to savings scenarios.
• Manage transportation of Closures finished products, strategic global stock management and warehousing standards
• Maintain and improve global standard for Closures Packing and Loading
• Maintain and improve processes and tools to drive world class logistics for Closures, in alignment with global guidelines.
• Drive and/or participate forwarder negotiation, in alignment/support with global logistic function
• Manage and drive continuous improvements in co-operation with logistic control towers for Closures in different clusters.
• Develop, promote and implement projects for cost reduction and CO2 reduction.
• Deploy and continuously improve Logistics performance using WCM methodology
Qualifications
Skills and expertise in Logistics are required, your capability and experience to manage relationship with both internal stakeholders and external 3rd parties is important. Experience and knowledge in the field of Plastic Injection Moulding is preferred as well as basic WCM knowledge.
You are able to communicate clearly and concisely both internally and externally at all levels. You are goal oriented, have analytical skills and a strong drive. You inspire other people with your enthusiasm, exchanging information and supporting colleagues to achieve personal and team goals. We believe the successful candidate has a University degree in Business Administration or Engineering combined with 5-7 years experience in Logistics. You are fluent in English both written and verbal; knowledge of any additional languages is regarded as a merit.
