Detectify was born from the simple idea that the internet is broken. Our founders are some of the best ethical hackers out there. Between them, they have hacked some of the biggest tech companies in the world and now they are sharing their knowledge as part of our tech teams.
Our founders turned the knowledge they accumulated from ethical hacking into an application security tool that automates hacker attacks. Today, in addition to our internal research, we collaborate with a global group of handpicked white-hat hackers to gather security tests. Our tool is trusted and used by some of the most widely known companies such as Spotify, Trello, and King. Based in central Stockholm, Sweden, we are currently a team of 50 employees and growing quickly.
The role and responsibility
In this role, you will be the first legal counsel at Detectify. You will report to our CFO but, will work closely to several other parts of our organization such as CEO, CRO, and our sales teams. The role will offer you the freedom to form processes and routines around legal matters, both for your own role and the rest of the company. Your work will be related to both our Stockholm office, our office in the US and other upcoming offices added to our international expansion. In short, your role will offer legal assistance and guidance within the following aspects:
• Drive legal negotiations related to customer agreements
• Ownership of legal compliance for Detectify
• Offer legal advice within Detectify
• Drive internal compliance programs
• Responsibility and handling of legal documents for Detectify
• Managing future fundraising processes
• Own relationships with external partners

You are a person with attention to details and structure. We believe that you thrive when there is clarity and simplicity in the processes related to your work. You like to educate others on legal matters and are comfortable negotiating with external parties and customers.
