The School of Information Technology
Halmstad University's School of Information Technology (ITE) is a renowned multi-disciplinary institution with around 155 employees from 20 different countries. ITE is internationally recognised for its applied research and collaborative initiatives, focusing on smart technology and its practical applications.
Within ITE, our students and researchers engage in diverse areas of study, including electronics, AI, information-driven healthcare, autonomous vehicles, social robotics, and digital design. We offer a comprehensive range of educational programmes, ranging from undergraduate to doctoral levels, as well as professional development opportunities.
Research is conducted within the University's research programmes, especially Information Driven Care (IDC), Re-Imagining Future Smart Living - beyond the Living Lab (REBEL), Learning in a Digitalised Society (LeaDS) and the Future Industry Research Programme (FIRP).
ITE is home to Leap for Life, an innovation centre for information-driven care, as well as the Electronics Centre in Halmstad (ECH), a collaborative space for electronic development.

We are seeking a lecturer (universitetsadjunkt) in informatics/digital design or closely related subjects for five months. The candidate should be able to take full responsibility for teaching at bachelor and advanced level within the subjects of digital design, experience design and human-centered AI. The candidate is expected to drive the development of courses and independently administer and run them.
Qualification
To be eligible for employment as a university lecturer, one must have an advanced degree and demonstrated teaching proficiency. For this position an advanced degree in Scandinavian informatics with focus on digital design and human-centered AI or closely related social science area is required.
The applicant is required to have:
- An advanced degree within Scandinavian informatics with focus on digital design and human-centered AI or closely related social science area
- Strong teaching proficiency, including documented experience in teaching the subject
- Experience of teaching digital design, experience design and human-centered AI on both bachelor and advanced level
- Proven skill through experience with various teaching methods
Strong merits include:
- Experience in developing new educations, particularly on advanced level
- Proven ability to work with people from different disciplines, both in academia and industry.
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
Proven experience in leadership, administrative skills and interaction with the wider community is an asset.
Salary
