The School of Arts and Communication (K3)
Research at K3 spans various disciplines, from design and information technology to media studies and cultural studies. Much of our research is conducted as part of the profile New media, public spheres and forms of expression (read more here). Current projects concern everything from co-design and interaction technologies to social media, comics and issues of culture and class. About the position
The successful candidate will engage in teaching, tutoring and pedagogical development, both on courses uniquely devoted to creative writing and in a broader educational context where creative writing is included as part of courses in literature, design, storytelling, media production, etc. Teaching of multimodal communication skills including academic writing will also be part of the duties, as well as online teaching. The position includes administration as well as opportunities for professional development.

As lecturer of creative writing at K3, you will be expected to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment and to create strong networks with external stakeholders. You will have a key role in the pedagogical development of writing pedagogy in multimedia contexts. Your own creative practice, as well as your commitment to educating creative writers and communicators in various genres will be important assets.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for appointment as lecturer in creative writing, the applicant must have

• a master's degree in creative writing, writing pedagogy or other discipline relevant to the position, or equivalent academic merits or other professional competence of relevance and importance to the post advertised
• demonstrated pedagogical ability

In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must also have

• evidence of a publication record in poetry, fiction or creative non-fiction or other relevant genre
• demonstrated experience of teaching creative writing at post-secondary level
• demonstrated experience of teaching creative writing in English
• excellent communication skills

The following qualifications are considered particular strengths:

• demonstrated ability to teach writing in multimedia contexts
• demonstrated competence in using online learning platforms
• demonstrated experience of artistic research

Selection criteria
Assessment of candidates is based on their degree of proficiency and ability with respect to the qualifications listed above. All teaching staff at Malmö University are expected to have completed, or be about to undergo, training in higher education teaching and learning of at least 15 credits.
