We are a team of 16 skilled simulation engineers performing analysis in the strength and durability, crash as well as thermo dynamic and fluid domain. We are divided in smaller teams of 3-5 persons, where the smaller teams work according to lean principles with transparency, accountability and teamwork. We plan our own work and are empowered to take decisions and actions needed both in the ordinary project work as well preparing ourselves for the future with method and knowledge development.
Would you like to join the CFD team and contribute with your knowledge and leader ability and drive the area together with your collegues?
One of the smaller teams in the group is the CFD team. The team has a global responsibility to develop new methods and perform simulations within the fields of Aerodynamics, Aeroacustics, Soiling, Interior Climate, HVAC, and Thermal Management of cooling systems for batteries, electric drivelines, internal combustion engines, and in the near future also fuel cells. The team uses both 3D CFD and 1D CFD tools. We work close together will our peers in the Volvo Group, so building network is a key in the daily work.
You atleast have a Masters degree and experience from fluid dynamics simulations. Experience from the automotive industry is an advantage. Experience using CAE tools such as ANSA, STAR-CCM+, GT-SUITE, and Python is an advantage.
In this position you will be a member of the Virtual Verification & Analysis team working actively together with method development and projects ranging in different sizes and scopes. As a member of this team you will report to the group manager of Virtual Verification & Analysis whom is part of the Chassis & Driveline Development management team at Volvo Buses.
