hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Avalanche Studios i Stockholm Avalanche Studios and its subsidiary Expansive Worlds are looking for a talented Lead Programmer to work with us on our self-published title theHunter. theHunter is the most realistic hunting simulation ever and it is free to play, easy to get into but very hard to master. We currently manage more than 6 million players in the online world of theHunter, something we are very proud of!
The Position
As the Lead programmer for theHunter you will take a key role in making sure we can continuously deliver game updates at the high quality expected from Expansive Worlds / Avalanche Studios.
You will both lead the technical development for theHunter and theHunter Primal and develop gameplay features together with the programming team. You will take lead on implementing updated tech from larger Avalanche Studios productions. You will work close to the Producer and Executive Producer to realize the roadmap you helped develop. You will also take an active role in design reviews and code reviews to ensure an appropriate quality level, and in mentoring junior programmers.
As you will work on a wide range of different game aspects we see the perfect candidate having a couple of years practical experience from different areas of game development as well as experience from being a lead.

Required Qualifications
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Prior experience from working as a lead on at least one shipped title.
Prior experience from working as a gameplay programmer.
A strong technical background with at least 4 years professional experience in C/C++ programming
Extensive knowledge in software development methods (agile knowledge a must)
Desired Qualifications
Experience from working with multiplayer games
Experience from working with open world games
Experience from programming Python
