Job Brief

We are seeking a candidate to lead piping design across our various development and construction projects. At EasyMining, we handle feasibility studies, Basic Design, and Detailed Design in-house. Key responsibilities include managing piping projects (including oversight of consultants), specifying piping materials, engaging with vendors, creating piping P&IDs, developing plant and piping layouts, and performing 3D design of piping and equipment. We expect the candidate to be a team player who respects deadlines, takes ownership of problem-solving tasks and projects, and demonstrates a strong interest in learning new skills. The successful candidate will join our cross-functional engineering team in Gothenburg.

Summary of the Main Responsibilities

• Lead piping engineering during the basic and detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of new plants.
• Be involved in setting up and developing the integration of our engineering tools (COMOS and E3D).
• Define piping design specifications.
• Coordinate and oversee piping discipline work performed by consultants or employees, ensuring timely execution and delivery across different project phases.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with standards, contracts, and legal requirements.
• Support budget planning and project cost estimation in collaboration with our cross-functional engineering team.
• Contribute to the design and operation of pilot plants and equipment testing in our pilot hall

While most work will take place in Gothenburg, future responsibilities may involve national and international travel to our offices, as well as temporary assignments at future project sites during plant start-ups. This travel is currently expected to include destinations within northern Europe.

Requirements

• You are driven and can work with structure, both independently and in a cross-functional team
• Excellent Knowledge in Aveva E3D.
• Excellent knowledge of piping engineering and good knowledge of related disciplines
• You are a team player, but you are also capable of working and come to results on your own.
• Physically capable of field work and site walk in an operating chemical plant that handles hazardous chemicals
• Can document the development process progress in an organized manner
• Can handle confidential information

Education & Experience Requirements

Higher level of education within piping Engineering

At least 5 years of relevant experience in an engineering environment. You need to have experience from either chemical, petrochemical, pulp & paper or the mining industries.

Knowledge of EN codes and PED.

Good knowledge of using MS Office package

Excellent knowledge of Aveva E3D.

It is of benefit if you have experience of:

• Design work by engineering tool systems such as Comos or similar.
• Market vendor contacts of pipe and valves.
• Site supervision, field work and installation

Language skills

Fluent English skills (requirement)

Swedish (requirement)
