THE ROLE
As Blueair is currently expanding we are looking for a dedicated individual to join our technical team.
Suitable candidates need to be proactive, analytical, results oriented and have a keen interest in technology.
You will be part of the technology development and product test team consisting of 8 people. The team works with technology development and testing of air purifiers, air quality sensors and our mobile app solution.
As a Laboratory Engineer you will primarily be responsible for performing technology-, product- and system-testing as tester and test lead in air purifier and filter product development projects. You will design, perform and evaluate and analyse tests of filter media and air purifiers.
You will participate in/run clean air technology projects developing new technologies and products and improving current products.
Your assignments will be varied, ranging from more complicated to easier tasks. This is a position for you who want to become the company's product test lead within air purification.
The role may also require trips to the company's suppliers, partners and factories.
Work areas:
• Product and system testing with air purifiers, air quality monitors, particle- and gas- filters
• Verification and validation of filtration, airflow, performance and functionalities, according to reference standards and internal standards.
• Develop test plan and specify testing procedure to develop, verify, and validate design
• Plan test configurations, sequence and sample sizes
• Write test plans, test cases and test reports
• Develop standard test procedures, design of test rigs and define test equipment/facilities.
• Participate in product development projects as tester and or test lead.
• Support with product and technical specifications.
• Responsibility for laboratory equipment and maintenance, testing manuals, facilities and instruments of the Clean Air lab.
• Technology development within air purification.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Master degree or higher. Specialization in ventilation, filtering and material and/or chemistry is meriting.
The following experience/knowledge is strongly meriting:
• Air particles and gases
• Filter media, adsorption filters
• Data analysis and statistics
• Measuring equipment
• Test and test standards
• Motors, fans and air flows
• Technology development
• Laboratory work experience
• Filter industry experience
Language:
Excellent English skills, oral and written. Swedish is meriting
Personal characteristics:
