You work preventatively with both staff, students and parents to provide the skills and knowledge needed to avoid most problems. You work systematically through the year to build up these skills via parent evenings, information sent home, development talks, sociograms, student training sessions and via training staff in how to train their mentor students and so forth.
You also work closely with the Student Care Team to deal with the problems that arise such as family problems, social problems and child protection problems. You will have the support of our behaviour team which take most issues relating to fighting and bullying, freeing you up to focus on more specialised areas requiring your expertise. You will be supported by your colleagues and the leadership team in your work.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Counsellor to join our team. You are qualified as either a socionom or have some equivalent education in child psychology. Being a team-player is a must as is having a positive and constructive attitude. You will work in grades 1-6 (primarily 4-6) and you will have a colleague counsellor in years 7-9. Start date is August 2017.

Varaktighet, arbetstid
This is a regular "semestertjänst" position, but with the possibility to work with an "uppehållstjänst" contract. We are connected to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between LF, LR and Almega.
