Normative is now looking for a Junior Sustainability Analyst
Normative is accelerating the transition to a net zero world. We provide science-based carbon accounting software and tailored advice from net zero experts, enabling companies to reduce their carbon footprints.
Reducing emissions begins with understanding where they come from. Our Data Services team ensures that Normative's emissions accounting engine is supplied with the most accurate, comprehensive data available so it can generate the most accurate and comprehensive insights - and lead to the highest-impact emissions reductions.
As a Junior Sustainability Analyst, you will work together with a dedicated team to calculate carbon emissions using our software and internal tools. You will be an integral part of making sure our clients are able to get a complete picture of their carbon footprint and enabling them to make better choices to reduce their impact!
What you will do at Normative to aid the transition towards net zero emissions:
• Calculate carbon emissions following the GHG protocol
• Work closely with our Climate Strategy team to align on data input and carbon calculations for our clients
• Review, log and structure incoming data from our clients
• Verify the quality of results before our net-zero experts present emission reports
• Upload data onto Normative
• Support our organization with knowledge within sustainability and GHG accounting
• Improve our internal processes to achieve higher efficiency and accuracy
• Provide feedback to our product team on new product features and possible developments
Experience we're seeking:
• We believe that you have (or are about to get) an educational degree within sustainability, where you preferably gained knowledge within GHG protocol and GHG accounting
• We believe that you are used to communicating in English, both verbally and in writing
• We believe that you are used to using Excel and/or Google Sheets
• If you have experience from either customer facing roles or programming/coding it will be considered beneficial for your future development at Normative
We also believe you:
• Have excellent analytical skills and you enjoy working with numbers and big excel sheets
• Are passionate about climate and want to make an impact by helping companies reduce their carbon emissions
• Are meticulous about your work and have an eye for details
• Are structured and organized and you know how to prioritize multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
• Are a team player and always try to support colleagues in any way you can
Any company would say its employees are smart, capable, and fun to work with - and our employees certainly are! But we're also driven by an unshakable sense of purpose, an urgency to act, and the motivation to devote our talents and energy to fighting the planet's most important fight.
Location
We operate on a hybrid remote model with offices in Stockholm, London and Copenhagen.
For this role, we want you to be based in Sweden. Our remote team members are expected to travel - in a climate friendly way - to meet at our office in Stockholm about once a month.
We adopt a continuous selection process, so make sure to apply as soon as possible. Normative handles sensitive financial data and we will therefore conduct a background check before signing any candidate.
