Dfind Science & Engineering are looking for a junior scientific expert for a temporary assignment. This assignment will take place at our Client, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), in their office in Solna. The assignment will start as soon as possible and continue until the end of January, with the possibility for an extension up to a total length of 12 months. As a Junior scientific expert your main responsibilities will include to:
• Support the work of the ARHAI (Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections) programme and the Scientific Assessment Section;
• Support work on European Commission requests for technical assistance or scientific advice ( in particular on outcome indicators as regards to surveillance of antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial consumption);
• Support work related to the scientific content and organisation of ARHAI meetings and additional ARHAI tasks;
• Support work on the ECDC Directory of online resources;
• Support work on production of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) training materials and draft parts for the IPC extranet and IPC wiki.

Qualifications and skills:
We are looking for candidates with a:
• Strong scientific or social scientific background (university degree in biology, medicine, veterinary medicine, social sciences, epidemiology, or other related fields).
• Knowledge of the field of ARHAI.
• Good administrative and project management skills.
• Scientific writing skills.
• Presentation skills.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
The ideal candidate is an ambitious person, with a high level of responsibility and the ability to take own initiative. You have a good sense of accuracy and have great attention to detail. We expect you to be a strong team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
For this position we require excellent oral and written English.
