Reports to: Head of Design
Scope:
This role is a vital part of the team and responsible for designing and creating every part of the golf and sports collection with the Mens & Womens golf and sports designers.
As part of this role we would like extend the responsibility to co-ordinating and developing our 3D design capability within the team.
Working Tasks:
Supporting the designers in the design and creation of the Mens and Womens golf, Mens and Womens Sports lines.
Owning and being responsible for designing categories within the Men's and Women's golf and sports line
Part of creating start up for collection with colour cards, trends for season and direction together with team
Support and take a active role in fabric selections & fabric development
Support in Fitting and evaluation of prototypes and pre-production samples
Work closely with the product development team to insure tec packs / handover material is correct and up to date
Assist and take an active role in presentations and overview creation for Golf and Sports
Plan and coordinate deadline together with the rest of the team
Develop 3D capability within the Golf and Sports team by coaching members of the design team.
Required experience:
Minimum 2 year's experience designing sport collections
Market experience - good understanding of sports fashion market. Able identify best sellers, pinpoint emerging trends, design the collections into price architecture with a good, better, best principle.
Concept - Candidate should be able to interpret a design brief into the knit & jersey categories, sourcing and prototyping into the given direction.
Qualifications:
Approx 2 years industry experience
Relevant BA university degree or equivalent
A strong design portfolio
Advanced use of Clo3DAdobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign. (Mac based).
Good sense of design with a strong eye for proportions
Multi-tasker that can respond to changes quickly and prioritise workload effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work well on own initiative as well as part of team.
Experience with working within brand guidelines to ensure consistent brand look and feel across all media.
Self-directed, self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
