In the next few years, we see exciting transformational projects driven by new business models and Industry 4.0. We also implement a new ERP system to modernize our system landscape and support the growing business demands. This will dramatically change how we conduct business and therefore we need a new awesome colleague to our team that will help us in enabling this digitalization journey.
The role
As a Solution Architect for Battery Production, a cornerstone in Scania's eMobility program, you will design and recommend strategic solutions for the IT solution supporting battery production at Scania. You will implement, maintain and support the IT solution, ensuring compliance with the target and reference architecture for Production & Logistics. You will be a principal point of contact for business, operations and IT personnel at the production unit for issues concerning the IT solution.
You will be doing
Working primarily within the battery production unit you will have responsibility to ensure the IT solutions are realized correctly for their intended purpose and lifespan. You will create and maintain an architectural vision and technical roadmap for the battery factory in connection with the overall architecture for P&L. One of your main responsibilities will be to understand the current architecture of the existing landscape and support the IT teams implement the target architecture.
As a key member of the team focusing on battery production you will work closely with Business stakeholders, the Lead Solution Architect and Business Architect responsible for this domain. The Lead Architect for Production and the Software Architects with expertise of the applications in the IT landscape are resources you will also have close collaboration with. As this is a cross-functional role you will work with other IT stakeholders including Project Managers, Business Analysts, Line Managers, Product Owners, etc., and resources in other Scania IT departments. A collaborative mindset is how you will ensure the business needs, architecture perspectives and standards are fully considered and secured in the IT solution at the battery factory.
You have
• worked in a tactical role in creating IT solutions for at least 5 years, with experience in architecting technical solutions in a complex IT landscape
• Driving technical change of significant complexity as a part of a digital transformation journey
• modelling experience and can develop different views at different levels, from simple to complex depending on the need and audience
• great communication and presentation skills in English
Experience with ERP, MES and SCADA systems, plus knowledge of ISA95 standards and the impact of Industry 4.0 is meritorious.
