H&M Group Ventures is the venture investment arm of the H&M Group. We invest for minority ownership in entrepreneur-led startups in our industry. The ambition is to create value by investing in promising high-growth companies globally that are of strategic interest to the H&M Group. We aim to add value to portfolio companies by investing both capital and knowledge. Having H&M Group Ventures as an investor, and thereby be part of the H&M Group ecosystem, shall make businesses stronger through access to our organization and knowledge and by leveraging cost- and customer synergies. Our mission is to promote entrepreneurship, to make bets on the future of our industry, and to support long-term growth across the H&M Group - directly and indirectly. As of today, we have 25+ portfolio companies and we are looking to add many more over the coming years.
H&M Group Ventures has 3 investment focus areas: Sustainable Fashion (companies that develop technologies and software that will enable the H&M group to lead our industry to a circular and sustainable future), New Retail (companies that explore consumers' behavior and shopping today, as well as in the future, and Enablers (tools and solutions that enable a better customer offer and/or can make us more efficient and more relevant.
Job Description
We are currently looking to expand our venture investment team in Stockholm with a thorough and driven Investment Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for conducting thorough analysis and due diligence to evaluate potential investment opportunities in startups and businesses. You will play a crucial part in a diverse, open-minded and team-oriented group, where collaboration and helping each other is key to reach the team's high set targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other documentation to communicate e.g. investment opportunities and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
Conduct financial analysis, including reviewing and evaluating financial statements, performing valuation models, and assessing the financial health and performance of existing portfolio companies as well as potential investment targets.
Conduct in-depth research on potential investment opportunities including market trends, industry dynamics, and competitive landscapes to identify attractive investment opportunities and potential risks. Benchmarking of potential investment companies.
Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, track industry developments, and identify opportunities for value creation or risk mitigation.
Support with various administrative tasks to support the H&M Group Ventures team as well as the Business Area in general.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe that you are a self-starter, structured and humble with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. You take initiatives and ownership for your area and you have the ability and drive to always seek for new opportunities and improvements to support the investment team in the best way possible. Furthermore, you have strong analytical skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and findings clearly and concisely.
We see that you come fresh out of school with a Bachelor/Master degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering or equivalent or you have up to 1 year of experience in a relevant field (preferably investment banking, private equity, venture capital or corporate finance). Most important is that you have the interest to learn and develop in the venture investment field.
You are a true team player with a collaborative mindset and a can-do attitude. We also believe that you have a passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and a keen interest in start-ups and emerging businesses.
