As Investigation Specialist you will work both independently and supporting Lead Investigators ensuring a thorough and fair investigation process in case of claims regarding conflict of interest, harassment/bullying or any claim regarding discrimination. You will ensure legal requirements and compliance obligations are taken into account through the investigation. You will also propose the right disciplinary action in case of substantiated output. Ensuring policies, processes and procedures for use in the location are legally compliant. You will support in investigations on significant claims in Sweden and advise colleagues in Compliance, Human Resources and Employee Relations (ER).
You will work closely with ER and Legal to ensure good awareness on how to report cases and how to prevent them and work closely with the ER to build capabilities within the business and the HR community.
What you will do:
* Ensure the policies based on local legislation are appropriate, legally compliant and well communicated to the business and to the employees, contractors and that specific training has been provided
* Ensure the processes and procedures give clarity on how to report the cases, the range of channels available and ensuring privacy and confidentiality of data related to the cases
* Collaborate with ER and Legal Counsel to effectively manage ER and compliance issues and minimize risk and exposure to the business
* Advise and coach leadership regarding complex and sensitive employee relations matters
* Work in partnership with ER in UK, US and Sweden to monitor metrics and identify problems and solutions in the investigation area
* Ensure the development and delivery of training programs to leadership and employees increasing capability to create a respectful workplace that is highly ethical, compliant and consistent with AZ's values.
* Enter all cases and investigations into the Database system chosen in Global Compliance for reporting of cases
* Lead special projects as needed
* Liaises with the business senior leadership team on compliance issues and collaborates with local HR and other Centres of Excellence to ensure that programmes adopted have a positive impact on employee relations
Essential requirements:
* Relevant degree or previous experience in Legal or Compliance departments
* Experience dealing with complex and sensitive claims and Compliance/ER cases
* Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Desirable requirements:
* Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferable
* Specific experience on investigations is preferable
Travel throughout other AstraZeneca locations will be required.
The role can be based in either of our sites, Gothenburg or Södertälje.
