Purpose of the position
The role includes supporting the Audit Team Lead in planning tasks before the audit assignments such as scheduling interviews, extracting relevant data for upcoming audits, analyzing data, and researching new or technical subjects when required, as part of audit planning. You are also responsible for own preparation by understanding the assigned processes and risks, reading through relevant policies and procedures, reviewing prior performed audits etc. Further, you're also responsible for timely and complete execution of the audit procedures such as instructed, for finalizing risk selection, control procedures and audit steps. An important aspect of your role is reporting and independently preparing draft audit reports comprising of findings, root causes, risks, recommendations and updating reports based on feedback from Team Lead, IA Manager and Auditees and documenting the results of audit work, in accordance with the standard agreed with HIA. You also support IA Manager and GIA team with other assignments not limited to Internal Audit.
The following are examples of key objectives:
Providing risk assurance like identifying risks and evaluating if (auditable) risks are being managed appropriately. Assessing risks and their impacts in a tangible manner, using analytical procedures in due course.
Providing governance assurance if the governance processes and other internal policies and processes are adhered consistently.
Reviewing effectiveness and efficiency of operations and advising management on how to improve systems, processes, controls and risk management practices (using internal best practices in Sandvik and leveraging prior experience and external best practices).
Aligning key stakeholders regarding risks and root causes noted and obtaining meaningful action plans for improvements in processes, controls and risk management practices.

The location is flexible within the European Union and extensive international travel is a natural part of your job - 75% of the year.
Your experience and qualities
You focus on the internal customer by understanding business priorities and issues and acting business and risk oriented - deep rooted understanding and experience within risk analysis, internal controls, business process analysis, business process improvement, data analysis, root cause analysis and auditing principles. You have an advantage if you have knowledge of project management principles and data Analytics, awareness of Forecasting/MIS reporting and of local governing laws/statutory law.
To succeed in this role, you:
hold a university degree in business or finance, a professional certification is an advantage (ACCA/CPA/CA/CIA/MBA)
have progressive work experience in risk based internal audits from the big four accounting firms or contact center industry
demonstrate strong and broad knowledge of manufacturing industry with exposure to best practices in the industry
navigate with ease in Office 365, especially in Excel
show excellent communication and presentation skills in verbal and written English.
