hela Sverige The Volvo Group International Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the programme, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited.
The programme runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest programme took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Ageo, Japan and Greensboro, USA.
Position
Volvo Group Truck Operations (GTO) Purchasing Aftermarket organization is responsible for planning, executing and following-up all purchasing activities globally located in 10 countries. Aftermarket Purchasing buys spare parts and remanufactured parts for all Volvo Group truck brands (Volvo, Mack, Renault, UD) Volvo Buses and Volvo Penta.
Aftermarket buyers are in charge of continuously improving the supplier Quality, Delivery and Cost (QDC) for aftermarket business. We use tools and processes to increase the performance of the complete aftermarket value chain. As a Buyer you will be responsible for commodities to have a key role working with large global supplier as well as continental suppliers. This position will collaborate cross functionally with other departments and drive the development and implementation of segment strategies.
Global Business Strategies department (GBS), main responsibilities are to develop and implement Global Aftermarket Purchasing Strategies, global suppliers management, this is managed by a team of 7 Global Commodity Managers (GCM).
Tasks would include:
Initially work closely with Global Commodity Managers.
Implement long term strategies, conducting work streams/projects together with selected global suppliers, preparation of global supplier business review meetings including supplier performance follow-up.
Perform negotiations with suppliers, project implementation, total cost optimization (Quality, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain etc.).
Analyse and suggest improvements in global purchasing process and IT tools for aftermarket. Deliver in timely manner the defined KPI:s in accordance with set targets.
Work in accordance with the Volvo GTO processes and Aftermarket processes.
Overall requirements:
Master of Science or Business Administration
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
Excellent spoken and written English (Swedish, French meriting)
Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
International experience is meriting
