Since Formox began licensing its process technology in 1966 more than 120 plants based on the Formox process have been built by our clients in more than 40 countries, on all continents except Antarctica! Wholly owned by Perstorp, and world leaders in formaldehyde technology, we supply know-how, plants, catalysts and technical support. In order to meet an increased sales volume and an increasing number of plant projects we now seek to employ an additional Instrument & DCS Engineer.
Your role within the Formox engineering department will be engineering- design- purchasing- and commissioning work in assigned plant projects globally. You will be based in the Formox head office in Perstorp, Sweden. Part of the job will be travelling to clients sites all over the world, primarily in connection with new plant construction and plant startup.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will involve:
• Engineering and design of field instrumentation, valves and control systems.
• Work with DCS configuration in systems Emerson DeltaV and/ or Siemens PCS7.
• Specification and technical purchase of instruments, control valves and DCS.
• Evaluation of existing and prospective electrical suppliers.
• Participation in continuous development of our plant design and engineering tools.
• Assisting our Catalyst production plant with engineering work and troubleshooting.
• Commissioning and startup of formaldehyde plants worldwide.
The suitable candidate should have an engineering certificate in electrical / control engineering or similar, minimum five years of experience in the design of industrial control / instrumented systems, preferably within the process industry. Experience from industrial DCS configuration, preferably Emerson DeltaV is an advantage. Essential capabilities are technical skills, focus on new technologies, a high degree of flexibility and an ability to work with others, especially with people in other cultures. A proactive attitude, being able to grasp responsibility and also an active approach to troubleshooting is natural to you.
A good spoken and written command of the English language is a requirement.
Experience from overseas projects, project procurement activities and knowledge in different PLC / DCS systems like Siemens PCS7/, Yokogawa or ABB would of course be an advantage.
