We are looking for a:
Engineer Knowledge Management
(Ingenjör - Kunskapsutveckling)

Engineering Software Support (ESS) belongs to Group Development Services within SKF, and is currently responsible for development, support, training and maintenance of the software used by SKF
application- and development engineers. At the moment ESS - staffed by four people and located at SKF in Göteborg, Sweden - is the owner of 9 different software packages. These internally by SKF
developed software tools range from very advanced, to expert systems and tools for basic application engineering studies. They cover areas like bearing life calculation, bearing damage analysis,
bearing, seal and lubricant selection, and more.
Job profile
In addition to the tasks mentioned above, ESS will take on an additional responsibility to coordinate the development and documentation of technical application engineering knowledge. For this reason
we are looking for a person who will drive all needed activities to:
• identify and compile existing knowledge
• identify areas where more knowledge is needed
• identify and coordinate with knowledge owners within SKF (segments, development- & research centres etc)
• use existing, or when needed, create new means of knowledge sharing
You will also provide support to all SKF application- and development engineers worldwide on the use of our engineering software calculation tools like SKF bearing beacon, SKF Bearing Select, SKF
Bearing Inspector, etc. and ensure their further development following the inputs and requirements from the SKF engineering community.
Requirements
• University level degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 5 years experience from Mechanical engineering
• Experience with analytical software tools for mechanical engineering
• Willingness to travel and work abroad on short assignments
• Good ability in written and spoken English. Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage
• Structured and analytical
• Good communicator / communication skills, both written and verbally
• Self driven personality
