We at AFRY (former ÅF and Pöyry) are now searching for a new consultant with the profile Infrastructure Specialist for one of our customers.
In this assignment you are hired on a full-time project basis at AFRY, with the possibility to go into an employment with our customer after 9 months.
About the customer
St1 is a Nordic energy company with the vision of becoming the leading producer and seller of CO2-aware energy. St1 has among others bioethanol plants, a refinery in Gothenburg Sweden, wind turbines in Finland as well as service stations in Finland, Sweden and Norway.
The cornerstone in the business is the sale of fuels for transport and heating use to consumers and the corporate sector. There is also the St1 and Shell service station networks, the latter under a license agreement.
The strong performance in the traditional fossile fuel business enables St1 to invest in sustainable energy solutions and to build a solid foundation for realizing the vision through renewable energy. St1 are already recycling waste for fuel and using wind power to produce electricity. In the spirit of the vision, each of St1's solutions must be technically and economically feasible and ecologically sustainable - today.
Your main tasks together with the team are to
Manage operations and projects for a portion of St1 IT Infrastructure to ensure it meets the needs of the business
Be a technical administrator for network, server, monitoring, workstation and/or hosting service
Manage vendors, contractors and other third parties to improve the IT infrastructure
Work closely with other IT Infrastructure system administrators to ensure the entire infrastructure is performing
Be part of Developing, updating business continuity and disaster recovery protocols
Share information and provide technical advice to colleagues
Maintain expected system uptime and complete projects on time
Who are you?
You are passionate about Cloud/Hybrid IT and its associated technologies including Azure and Google Cloud platforms with emphasis on infrastructure and automation. You have the ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions. As a person you are self-going, able to structure our own work and the ability to prioritize workload. You have an analytical and logical mindset and take responsibility.
You need to have
Computer Science, software engineer or related degree or certification
Understanding of Cloud/Hybrid IT and its associated technologies including Azure and Google Cloud platforms
Understanding of Database, Networking and AD
An interest and/or experience in Windows software overall
Readiness to occasional travel in Nordic countries
Very good verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish
Finnish or Norwegian is considered an advantage
