AWEP in Sweden
Afghan Women Empowerment Program has been working in Sweden since 2008 and is presently managing programs in the sectors of Information and Integration. AWEP in Sweden aims to increase awareness about women, youth and children's situation in Afghanistan. On the other hand, AWEP works to collect relevant opinions for the betterment of women, youth and children's conditions in Afghanistan.
Another important aspect of AWEPs work in Sweden is to, through awareness raising, find cooperation and support for AWEPs work in Afghanistan.

The Information & Communication Director has the overall responsibility for implementation of AWEPs information and communication programs in Sweden. This includes awareness raising through different programs and activities, communicating with different governmental/non-governmental organisations and authorities, travelling around in Sweden and abroad, mainly Afghanistan, as an Afghanistan expertise.
Entry requirements
Qualifications:
• University degree at bachelors level, preferably in fields such as management or administration/communication, political science or equivalent documented experience.
• Relevant work experience in communication/information, international development and/or humanitarian work.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, Dari and Pashto
Assets:
• Experience of work within international development and/or humanitarian work
• Experience from non-profit sector
• Experience from work with human rights and gender equality
• Experience from work in Afghanistan
• Knowledge of Afghanistan
• Knowledge of current situation in Afghanistan, mainly within human rights
Skills:
• Being a team-builder and being able to adapt to a cross-cultural context
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Endurance, integrity, determination, flexibility and results-oriented
