Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
The Role:
As a key member of the Industrial Engineering experts team, you will play a vital role in enhancing Scania's production planning methods for manufacturing machined parts crucial to our gearboxes, axles, and engines. Your primary focus will be on process planning, strategically determining the most efficient sequences of operations, selecting optimal equipment and tools, and ensuring product specifications are met while minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.
Responsibilities:
Gain a comprehensive overview of Scania's production planning process for new part introductions, manufacturing processes, and modifications to existing parts.
Collaborate with production units to develop a strategic plan for process planning.
Lead the advancement of process planning for machining, shortening lead time in the preparation process, increase digitalization and ensuring that we have the conditions to manufacture to the right quality.
Manage the PReP competence group.
Engage in external forums and evaluate emerging technologies through benchmarking.
Providing guidance, technical support and problem solving for our production units.
Support with improvement of IT-tools for process planning (CAD methodology, work instructions, operation step planning).
Conduct training sessions and maintain communication with R&D regarding design for manufacturing.

Your profile:
Requirements:
More than 3 years of process planning experience.
Cross-functional collaboration skills and network management ability.
Proactive, results-oriented, self-motivated, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred:
Proficiency in 3D modelling software, especially Catia v5, and experience in ArtHur.
Knowledge of Model Based Definition, PReP process, GD&T, and CNC machining.
Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
