Purchasing Manager, IT Purchasing
As Purchasing Manager you will be the manager of the new IT purchasing group within Purchasing Services based in Gothenburg. IT Purchasing are responsible for all purchasing of hardware, software, licenses and IT consulting services. In the role as Purchasing Manager your main challenges will be to develop a supplier strategy supporting Volvo Cars global growth, lead and development IT sourcing strategies and manage a group of experienced buyers.
Volvo Cars Purchasing is ultimately responsible for the selection of all Volvo Cars' suppliers and has the responsibility for the procurement of all production material and services to Volvo Cars. The supply of materials and services- to the right quality, in the right quantity and on time- is essential to the smooth running of the company and to match our customer's expectations.
Job profile:
• Lead a team of approximately 8 buyers.
• Develop the team and the individual buyers.
• Managing the development of IT sourcing principles and the supporting agreements.
• Strategy and supply base development together with internal stakeholders.
• Create and maintain commercial relations with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Participate in global cross-functional councils and management meetings.
• Support the growth of Volvo Car Corporation in China.
Your profile:
• University degree in business administration or similar
• Experience from IT sourcing, preferably on a global level
• Buyer experience
• Experience within manufacturing
• Excellent leadership skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Good communications skills
• Result oriented
• Business acumen
• Interpersonal understanding
• Integrity
• Open to change
