Description:
HIL Technical Lead / Test Architect - Managerial/ SME
Location: Sweden / Gothenburg

Role summary:
As an HIL Technical Lead/Test Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading the test specification, development, and execution of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for HIL related projects. This role involves building and leading testing activities on HIL setups dedicated to Powertrain, Body, Chassis, and ADAS within HIL Operations. You will lead a cross-functional team, define project planning for HIL activities, and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.
Role based in Gothenburg with occasional travel to other sites and suppliers.

Key responsibilities:
Lead specification and implementation of HIL systems for all powertrain control projects.
Lead cross-functional management of HIL facilities, including support for control strategies design, modeling, development, and integration for driveline subsystems.
Define and maintain project planning for HIL activities, including HIL Configuration Management.
Work closely with the System Design Team to validate system DFMEA's.
Take a proactive part in the definition and implementation of system DVPs.
Collaborate with the Functional Safety team to implement HIL-based FS testing.
Work closely with the Diagnostics team to implement HIL-based diagnostics testing.
Collaborate with the control system design team and software design team to ensure the delivery of a complete system.
Support functional safety development and analysis.
Act as a senior tester, supporting the team in developing and evaluating test needs.
Actively work on building a test strategy to meet project test needs.
Lead a small team as part of an integrated multifunctional product team responsible for delivering complex projects.
Develop skills within the team through teamwork and personal development reviews.

Requirements
1st degree or equivalent in automotive, electrical/electronic, mechanical, or control engineering.
7+ years of relevant automotive system integration and testing experience.
Experience in Hardware In the Loop (HIL) testing is a must.
Preferred tool experience using dSPACE, Vector, NI, HIL, and Labcar.
Experience with test specification and test automation, preferably using dSPACE technology.
Good knowledge of the full development lifecycle with a focus on verification and validation, including DFMEA and DVP.
Working knowledge of ISO26262 is an advantage.
Ideally has experience leading a small team or demonstrates necessary leadership qualities.
Relevant system integration experience, preferably in the area of Powertrain technology.
Preferred working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
Familiar with CAN analysis tools (e.g., Canalyzer) and calibration tools (INCA preferred).
Experience with Model Based System Engineering is an advantage.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to overcome cultural barriers.
Automotive test or development experience.
Knowledge of Python, Robot framework (or similar keyword-based test framework), GIT, and Jenkins.
Familiarity with CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, dSPACE HW and SW, CANoe/CANalyzer, data visualization tools.
Driver's license.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
As the role is in Sweden, Gothenburg, you must live in Sweden and have a work permit already.
Professional English in speaking and writing.
