Head of Sustainable Powertrain, Technology, Volvo CE

The Sustainable Powertrain team is at the forefront when it comes to decarbonization of our portfolio and is the creative home base for approximately 300 passionate and engaged people. In this role you will take the lead in forming a new organizational area with interfaces and connections internally and externally.
In Sustainable Powertrain:
We leverage the power of the Volvo group, to develop technology solutions adapted for the construction equipment industry
We are exploring a variety of technology choices for the future - such as battery electric, fuel cell electric, hydrogen, combustion engines as well as other powertrain configurations
We are developing and optimizing the powertrain to drive customer value
We are adapting of our test environment and way of working
We are using machine and operator data as base for Service Solutions

Your key contributions: In this key role, you will lead the area of Sustainable Powertrain with interfaces internally and externally, keeping us in the forefront while always focusing on the long-term transformation of the company, and guiding the company based on strategic ambitions and customer needs. With the global construction industry as our arena, we work together with all our stakeholders to turn our ambitions into reality for people everywhere, every day. This will require that you lead with a clear intent to continuously grow both our business and our people, by balancing all our stakeholder's needs. You will also be a part of the global Technology Leadership Team of VCE, where you will be contributing to the holistic strategic development of the global Technology organization, consisting of approximately 2,400 people worldwide.

Competence profile:
You have a relevant academic background, a curiosity and passion for both technology and people, and an ability to grasp complexity and turn it into tangible meaning

Experience to drive the Sustainable Powertrain journey by implementing the right technology solutions
Understand customer needs and market situation to continuously enhance performance and make right trade-offs in regards of products and services
Strong interpersonal skills to build efficient product development through close collaboration with all relevant technology teams, cross-functional and with the right choice of internal and external partners
Capability to continue and intensify cross-site collaboration to drive cost efficiency and secure machines that deliver superior customer value
Ability to take ownership of compliance responsibilities for safety and legal requirements and secure that right measures of cyber security are taken to protect products and organization
Be a role model leader living the Volvo CE Philosophy and create the environment within Sustainable Powertrain teams to perform and develop, continuously improve, and work with passion in the flow of our value chain
The office location for this role is our Volvo CE Technology site in Eskilstuna, Sweden, where we have a state-of-the-art Technical Center.
