Scope
Architecture, integration (SPA2) and verification (SPA2) of complete electrical system.
We work in an agile way focusing on lead, speed and flow. We walk the extra mile, take responsibility for our contribution and work together in empowered teams.
Software and Electronics Platform Solution is optimized to reduce dependencies and increase flow for SPA2 development where a key asset will be a competitive robust and easily deployable Core System which enables fast feature development for all ARTs.
We are important in R&D as our solution creates the foundation for the SPA2 Electrical Architecture.
Architecture and System Design
As we design a complex system that is developed across 6 solutions in R&D, the need for a strong Software Architecture and System Design team is clear. To ensure that we build a strong function that focuses on the whole software system and electrical architecture, we want this function to report to the head of software engineering.
We expect this team to design and follow the realisation of their designs end-to-end and collaborate across R&D through the aspect arenas designed for that purpose.
What you will do
The role is responsible for leading the development of our Core Computer and associated Software & Electronics components that build the foundation for our software defined cars, reporting to the Head of Software Engineering. This organisation has approx. 1200 team members.
At the core of this brand promise is our Core Compute Architecture with powerful SoCs from our partner NVIDIA. Combined with the Electrical & Electronics Architecture this comprised the complete vehicle electrical system which is developed by the Software & Electronics platform team.
This team is responsible for developing the core system platform - both the Nervous System (wiring, zone controllers and the Brain (Core Computers) + Software Platforms and a large portion of the application software for the vehicle platform. Deep relationships with MCU (Micro Controller Units) and SoC (System on Chip) vendors incl. exec relationship with NVIDIA. Current lead is acting and will retire in July.

• Continuous Integration and architecture understanding incl. automotive industrial process
• Technology leaders - tools, data, people, process, vision to execution
Do you fit the profile?
The Head of Software & Electronics Platform must be an experienced technology leader with proven track-record. We 're looking for experience in:
• Managing large scale agile software development team.
• Electrical & Electronic Architectures for Software Defined Vehicles.
• Large-scale software development programs with a background of software architecture design and hands- on programming.
• Large-scale electronic hardware development programs, with a background of electronics hardware design.
• Continuous Integration & Deployment.
History of working with consumer facing products tied to a complex industrial system with high degrees of reliability on the software integration process (e.g., automotive, mobile, consumer electronics) with embedded software.
