Our Group Procurement department is responsible to ensure and develop operational excellence in the field of procurement. It is a cross-functional unit with touch-points in all areas of the company, both functionally as well as geographically. The main role of the department is to support and challenge the organization, targeting a strong and clear value contribution from various procurement activities.

What will you do?
As Head of Procurement you are responsible for the department with its three team members. You are the process owner of Stena Line's overall procurement process, including systems, procedures and policies. Your mission is to lead and develop our procurement cluster with supply stream representatives from different parts of Stena Line, such as Technical, Retail & Food, Indirect, Marketing and Ports & Terminals.

Some of your key responsibilities:

• Process owner of the procurement process
• Lead and develop the procurement cluster
• Support and challenge procurement functions in the company
• Follow-up and report relevant procurement KPIs to track and optimize procurement performance and value contribution
• Drive the digital development in the procurement and purchasing area in close cooperation with Transformation and Finance departments
• In cooperation with Finance develop relevant procurement tools and systems
• Drive and manage various procurement projects, directly or on behalf of other functions or geographical regions
• Explore and support outsourcing and insourcing opportunities across the company
• Participate in Stena Sphere purchasing meeting and explore synergies with other Stena entities

Who are you?
At Stena Line your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. We are looking for an experienced procurement leader with an ability to develop and manage a holistic and strategic perspective on procurement as well an ability and interest in engaging in specific procurement projects and negotiations.

You are a natural and pragmatic leader, who includes as well as challenges your employees and are motivated by achieving great results. The ability to prioritize and create structure is something that comes easy and you have a lot of drive and ambition, combined with strong communication skills.

This role is not your traditional kind of purchasing manager, but perfect for someone who wants to take ownership of the procurement process. If you are on a middle management level today in a medium-sized organisation looking for your next challenge, this could be perfect!

The must have's:

• Relevant university degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Finance or similar, or equivalent work experience
• At least 5-10 years of relevant procurement and purchasing experience, preferably from different supply streams, with proven negotiation skills
• Experience from a management role with direct reports
• Experience from defining and structuring strategic procurement processes
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Experience from international business
