The Head of People works in seamless collaboration with the newly established Transformation CoE defining the overall transformation design principles and architecture (within areas such as Culture & Leadership, Learning and Organisational Design further to the new business architecture and target operating model), with the People CoEs defining the functional design, the employee lifecycle and annual cycle, and with the business.
The Head of People will be part of the Executive Management Team and as such is expected to act as a strong and impactful sparring partner to the Head of Wholesale Banking (WB) and the team. In this important role, the Head of People will engage in, and sometimes lead, the strategic business discussions in the WB team and will be expected to contribute on a broad array of business topics (beyond his/her functional space).
The Head of People will assume leadership of a team of People Business Partners, a Talent Partner and a Reward Partner. S/he will be a core member of the Nordea People Leadership Team (PLT).
Responsibilities:
• Business partner and co-lead on the transformation on all topics regarding the People agenda to the Head of WB.
• Conceptualise and implement Group People initiatives to fit the WB business strategy and priorities in close cooperation with the COEs with a strong focus on organisation, competencies and culture specifically.
• Set a business driven human resources agenda and strategy by developing a keen understanding of the WB business goals and strategies, and establishing organisational initiatives in support of those strategies.
• Lead an efficient, fact based, value-adding and cost-effective function, as seen by the local markets; continually demonstrating the effectiveness of the People value proposition across the organisation.
• Develop human resources planning model to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps, and develop specific programs to fill the gaps.
The position is located in Stockholm, Sweden, and travelling is expected.
• A minimum of ten years of transformational HR experience working successfully within transformational HR and led activities across organisational development and design, talent management and succession planning, performance management.
• Experience from successfully leading transformation in times of diversity and restructuring - e.g. through cost cutting activities, divestments, decreasing headcounts.
• Has delivered impact and business results whilst at the same time maintaining a positive demeanour and strong positive engagement scores/employee feedback.
• Strong track record of working specifically with organisational redesign, competence/culture shifts as well as strategic workforce planning in ever-changing environment.
• A minimum of three years experience working as a business partner and strategic advisor to one or several executive management members, thus is skilled in linking human resources to business strategy and transformation.
• A decisive self-starter - proactively seeks the information needed to initiate work processes and direct others in their work.
• Systematic and structured.
• Solution oriented - sees the world from a holistic perspective and leads management discussions towards finding solutions.
