Swedbank Group IT is located in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. We are 1560 employees responsible for running the bank, developing and maintening business strategic and central systems in Swedbank. All development is managed in projects and we deliver approximately 600 projects and pre-studies during a business year. Through understanding and acting from the needs of our internal customers, we offer the group competitive IT-solutions which support new products and high level services to our clients.
Swedbank is strengthening by recruiting a new role to Group IT, a unit within the business unit Group Business Support. Swedbank Group IT is the largest buyer of IT services in the Nordics with a clear and direct linkage to how Swedbank is perceived by their customers. Group IT has 20 % of the operative costs in the bank and provides IT services to 64 independent banks. 600 IT-projects are ongoing and 800 projects are in the portfolio.
As Head of IT you'll be a valuable member of the IT management team with ownership of all IT operations related to the group. You're also a part of Group Senior Management Team consisting of 50 Group Executives. You'll be responsible for building and leading an effective and relevant business driven IT-operations function reporting to the CIO/CTO. Head of IT will be responsible for proposing, ensuring and following up on the implementations of policies, instructions and best practice for our IT operations. Your role includes presenting complex information to large groups and meet stakeholders in an openly and professional way. IT operations consists of 1500 employees in four countries and there will be three managers reporting to you. The location of the role is in Stockholm and includes travelling within the group.
Your assignment will be to develop and implement the group's IT operations based on the decided strategy and to link business strategy with IT. Swedbank's goal is to achieve an IT operations that is highly adapted to the customers needs and we're always striving to be on top of technology trends. We're looking for a strong and active leader with an ability to drive improvement and transformations and at the same time inspire both the team and the managers.
You have a solid background of building and leading effective IT-organizations and a proven track record of implementing IT strategies. You've had a prominent role when it comes to working with organizational change and business development within the IT area. You have a good business understanding and a strong IT perspective. You have an academic degree and you're fluent in English.
